I had my doubts when we bought him - especially considering how much money we blew on him - but I tried (I really tried) to give him a chance.
Sure he had his injuries, he was (deservedly) behind Lukaku and a (kind of-sort of) in-form Naismith and the whole team hasn't been up to everyone's standards.
But the chances are gone and my heart sinks a little bit further every time I see his name on the team sheet.
He is never fit, has approximately 3 good touches per game when he is fit and the only thing harder than trying to keep him fit is trying to get him to score.
I think opposing defenders must thank God when they see him come out the tunnel, he might be the least threatening striker in the Premier League. I'd rather have Falcao on the bench than him.

Will he come good eventually? Maybe. Probably not.
As it stands he'll possibly end up being the worst transfer in Martinez's record as Everton manager.
Spot on really. I'm very much an optimist when it comes to our team, but I'm afraid he looks a mile out of his depth to me.

I'd rather chance a youngster as back up tbh.

Me neither, terrible business even before his injury.
When at Wigan if Kone got the ball on the half way line he was so fast no one could catch him as he ran in on goal now he looks like he needs a simmer frame - It was noticeable from day one he had lost his speed even in the Wigan Fa cup final he did not have a great game, his injuries sadly have took their toll RM has made his bad transfer blunder wasting 6 million and three years wages!

Worst 'footballer' to ever wear our famous #9. End of. Martinez needs to go if he doesn't bring in a striker as backup to Lukaku

I don't think lower league clubs would take him, even on a free.

When I watch him I get the impression that he's won some sort of competition, where the winner gets to play for his favourite club for 90 minutes. He's embarrassingly bad.

I think its our system to be honest. Sure he makes the odd crap touch here and there but so does our 28 million pound super star striker. The way we set up and play, whoever is up top by themselves are going to have 1 or 2 chances a game to score (if that).

No mate. He is just rubbish.

Hi Arouna :bye:

No word of a lie, I would prefer to see Duncan Ferguson start a game for us right now than Kone.
