Spot on really. I'm very much an optimist when it comes to our team, but I'm afraid he looks a mile out of his depth to me.I had my doubts when we bought him - especially considering how much money we blew on him - but I tried (I really tried) to give him a chance.
Sure he had his injuries, he was (deservedly) behind Lukaku and a (kind of-sort of) in-form Naismith and the whole team hasn't been up to everyone's standards.
But the chances are gone and my heart sinks a little bit further every time I see his name on the team sheet.
He is never fit, has approximately 3 good touches per game when he is fit and the only thing harder than trying to keep him fit is trying to get him to score.
I think opposing defenders must thank God when they see him come out the tunnel, he might be the least threatening striker in the Premier League. I'd rather have Falcao on the bench than him.
Will he come good eventually? Maybe. Probably not.
As it stands he'll possibly end up being the worst transfer in Martinez's record as Everton manager.
I'd rather chance a youngster as back up tbh.
