I think its our system to be honest. Sure he makes the odd crap touch here and there but so does our 28 million pound super star striker. The way we set up and play, whoever is up top by themselves are going to have 1 or 2 chances a game to score (if that).

to be fair, there is a certain truth in that statement.

Our current playing system is not one which plays to the strengths of the strikers.

His header on saturday summed it up his confidence is rock bottom , and with his speed gone he looks like a player who will not make it!

Probably needs to go somewhere outside England. Even the lower divisions would be wary of him on a free. However I think a free it must be.

I don't like being critical of players as to get to the level of professional you clearly must have something, yet that header just showed (to me at least) he's not a natural finisher.

Being a finisher seems to me to be a pre-requisite for being a striker, so therefore I doubt he'll ever make the grade, for us at least.

Would be made up if Martinez realised it,becoming a bit embarrassing now.

When I saw the header I thought to myself imagine Cahill on the end of that chance...
Never mind Cahill an amateur footballer would have scored that! He is naturally devoid of confidence and knows his game has gone which was his pace!
Look I was a good steady snooker player - when your eyesight goes is it worth playing on for a team ?

I agree, same goes for Naismith, McGeady, Barry etc. There are too many players that Martinez isn't letting go when he should.

Kone will end up costing us over £10m in fees and wages by the time he goes, that's insane!

He'll never recover his confidence and having lost a yard of pace, he's finished for us. The sooner Martinez brings someone else in the better. Hopefully he can offload Kone even if its for free.
