Arouna Kone

I had my doubts when we bought him - especially considering how much money we blew on him - but I tried (I really tried) to give him a chance.
Sure he had his injuries, he was (deservedly) behind Lukaku and a (kind of-sort of) in-form Naismith and the whole team hasn't been up to everyone's standards.
But the chances are gone and my heart sinks a little bit further every time I see his name on the team sheet.
He is never fit, has approximately 3 good touches per game when he is fit and the only thing harder than trying to keep him fit is trying to get him to score.
I think opposing defenders must thank God when they see him come out the tunnel, he might be the least threatening striker in the Premier League. I'd rather have Falcao on the bench than him.

Will he come good eventually? Maybe. Probably not.
As it stands he'll possibly end up being the worst transfer in Martinez's record as Everton manager.

After he scored his only Everton goal against Newcastle a few people piped up and said the vaulting in a few months would be boss on the people who doubted him.

Well, come on then go and vault them.

Anyone who dyes his hair blonde at 32 is dodgy in my eyes. Heart sinks when he lines up - though to be fair think Naismith has been equally bad in the last six months no pace , gives the ball away far too easily and doesn't find space- just like Kone but seems to escape any criticism. We were toothless first half in attack v Arsenal

naismith is crap yes but at least looks threatening to the opposition occasionally, kone is more a danger to his own team.

I was initially glad to sign him and eager to give him time after his injury, but it appears he's just too far gone. He doesn't look nearly as imposing as he did for Wigan, and has lost all ability to finish.

He did offer a foil for Rom at times and they linked up okay, but we do not play with 2 strikers really. And he is just way, way below what we need.

Alas, I can't see us signing another striker nor can I see Bobby's faith in him going anywhere soon. So roll on Kone 2016.

Kone is not a particularly good player but he has moments where he can look relatively ok...invariably, this is due to Naismith being on the pitch as well.

defended him in the past, and on certain aspects i still will but his transfer to everton isn't going to work out.

Martinez needs to not be stubborn, accept he's messed up and sign a striker who is actually worthy of challenging everton, and making Lukaku worried.
