How people are defending Moyes is beyond me. It's gone too far now.

Yes it was only 1 nil and a world class goal, but before the goal we were defending well enough, albeit it could have been about 4-0 then due to poor finishing as it's been said.

Heitinga was doing great in defence and was moved into midfield :S? Bily was having a good game and one of our only threats, subbed. I didn't have too many qualms on Mcalney and Gueye coming on, but why not for Cahill and Neville who were playing ****ing ****e - again.

Why can't we counter attack? Why can't we shoot, or put a throughball in, EVER? Why does every player go in the box to defend a corner?

Moyes is the problem, there's no denying it.

Tell that to Bryan.

If we lose at home to Norwich next week i will look forward to the 'we need better players' excuse being used then.

Nothing wrong? There would be nothing wrong if it was Cahill off for McAleny, but instead it's Saha off for Distin.

Foresight is something he lacks. As is logical thinking. Or spotting the obvious.

Well that's the defensive corner I'm talking about. Saha off for Distin and pushing Heitinga to midfield and Fellaini to attack isn't really a that bad option. But after you've made that change, there's no way you can sub yourself back in to chasing the game.

Better second half for us, much less suicide pushing up, and it was when we were taking the game to them that they countered and, just like every time we play them, the lofted ball from center right into the box for a Van Perse volley and this time it pays off.
We dont seem to learn about that tactic they use against us in every game.
Had never heard of McAleny, and don't understand that place for a debut for an 18yo.
We never troubled the keeper with anything on target. And i'm gonna look for the Bily thread because having him in the eleven is like starting with just 10 men.

That can't be justified, he was class today. scapegoat...

McAleny is the shizznits, mate/lid/lar/lad.

Believe he would have made his debut sooner but had a clause in his contract that gave him so dosh when he played his first senior game,He told them to take it out of the contract so ive been told anyway

This.

...again. So many of you forgetting the quality of the opposition.

Or wait, are we the only team they've sliced and diced before?

Answers on a postcard.

Dear TX Bill,

No, but we did it to you guys too.

Sincerely,
Stoke City, Newcastle United and Blackburn.

P.S. Surely more will follow. x

You see, I didn't even have to include Liverpool, Chelsea (twice) and Manchester United.

Like i've said mate, it's not this game, no harm in losing to Arsenal. It's the fact that we are fearing playing Norwich next week.

Nothing changes.

And fair play to that.

But it's just so obvious that many DO NOT want to take into the account the quality of the opposition.

If we played this way today to a crap team at home, I'd be fuming like the next guy.

But away to Arsenal? A bit of perspective is needed.

You keep using the second half of the season as an excuse. That doesn't cut it with me.

There are no guarentees we will improve after xmas THIS SEASON.

I'm not.

Just saying what most Evertonians should know by now.

They have short memories or as I like to say, a selective memory.

On another note, I'm going to do more productive things with my saturdays from now on that watch that drivel.

Two/three years ago I was chomping at the bit to watch us play the big teams as we were really in with a shout of beating them.

Now I'm not even bothered about watching us play Norwich, because as Ijjy says, it's going to be the exact same next week.

*retreats to lounge*

So will I, it's pathetic because the players we have are good enough. Yes we are missing a good solid striker, but let's face it, we'd only make them look bad anyway in this terrible formation and tactics we play week in week out.

and im sure over the last 4 seasons our resurgence has got later and later into the season!

but i blame moyes for the slow starts anyway so there you go!
