Just heard Moyes say on the radio that we were unlucky and that we had a couple of really good opportunities, well I must of been watching a different game cos can't even remember a shot on target. Cahill and Saha just don't work they've been awful all season, so why not try the kids for a few games because they can't be any worse. Saha does absolutely [Poor language removed] all and Cahill just jumps into people and runs around like a chicken with no head.

And me. Would be happy for him to go tomorrow as long as we had a half decent replacement. Must be the ONLY manager in the premiership who doesn't try and win games, even at home. He just sets out not to lose, which we surprisingly lose because we offer no threat to their defence.

Worst part is, If Kenwright is still here, Moyes will never go, and Kenwright is going nowhere.

I've been saying this for the last two seasons. And the really depressing thing is that, after all this time, Moyes just isn't going to change. He is just too defensive minded and doesn't learn the lesson that defeat after defeat should be teaching him: attack is the best form of defence. Which doesn't mean that we don't need a solid defence as well.

Moyes is a decent enough manager, he certainly has an eye for a good player, and is also a reasonably good tactician, but he has severe shortcomings, and his defensive-minded nature is imo his worst. People wouldn't be ranting against him so much if we played exciting football and still lost the same amount of games as we have - although i suspect we'd have probably picked up more points than we have if we'd played two up front more often.

Like others have said, it's not the defeat against Arsenal that hurts, that was more or less expected on Arsenal's current form, and let's face it that moment of brilliance from Van Persie was only an inch or so away from not being a goal, but it's the defeats against the likes of QPR and Stoke that really hurts.

On a positive note, Guye and McAleney looked good. McAleney in particular looked hungry. Both look as if they have some class. There is hope for the future with the young lads coming through. But of course, we won't keep all of them.

Let's not forget that if the Board had found a buyer in all the years they claim to have been looking, things would be different than they are. Moyes may not be perfect, but the Board are the main culprit imo, and have dealt Moyes a bum deal.

Barkley needed to be contracted.

Vellios has been handed a couple of starts, completely ineffective. Lets not cripple his confidence because of our desperation. He's showed promise from the bench, the lad isn't ready to spearhead the attack.

Gueye I partly agree with, but he's been injured.

The fact is, we've got no nous in the middle of the park or on the wing an we don't have a decent striker. Until we do, 8th-12th is surely the best we can expect and achieve?

Vellios' starts are misleading though because on both occasions he's been provided with absolutely no support in the slightest.

In fact I'm not even taking issue with Saha's performances of late, because he's being asked to do the impossible. And he is 33 and highly experienced. Vellios I really can't fault.

Saha seemed to excel last year in a deeper, Cahill-like role alongside Beckford for a while. Why not try putting him there and maybe Vellios up top? A bit more guile and more support really.

I'm at a loss as to why Cahill is playing at all at the moment, never mind lasting the 90 minutes. He offers nothing. I remember writing in great detail about him on here a year or so ago, saying how all he offers is goals which is great for him, but we as a team play worse as he can't link attack and midfield at all.

Now he isn't even scoring.

steve watson ,cause we had no one else we had an injury crisis .were getting beat 1.0 and he leaves 2 strikers on the bench .braindead anyone ?

Two strikers that aren't ready. Vellios, lot to prove yet, Stracula....dunno, magaye, err not a saviour, barkely, he is not yet the messiah, mcaleny....

Yep he brough on Distin and tried to change the result with his best players.

You all loved Coleman when not playing, you scramble for magaye, Vellios is great, get him on.....

Ultimately we do not have the players to play any system. We are v. v. Short of quality.

We are all pished off but I guess we should get used to it for a while

Owen Coyle anyone.....no ? not me either

Scrappy game decided by a wonder goal. We had some very good chances in the first half, but couldnt take them. Lyuckily we got the 3 points as we were there for the taking. Surprised when Moyes took off Saha for Distin.....very negative. Also playing Cahill upfront did help us as his legs are gone and Mertesacker didnt have to run.

Overall delighted with the win as I expected a draw here. But Everton should have gone for this one, had nothing to lose and our defence is missing any fullback.

Aye disappointing that after we'd weather the storm we didn't go for it.

Regardless, it was fully deserved by Arsenal. Hope you'll stick around mate.

The most frustrating thing is that we did. In the 80th minute...

When we were already losing...

I've seen that far too often of late.

On the flipside, I didn't know McAleny had that in his locker! He almost did a Rooney, so to speak.

The only bright side. We weren't that bad really. we are just so toothless up front and so ballless on the manager front that opposition know that they can commit men forward as we just don't do that goal thing. When it's not a moment of class like today it's a scrappy thing like last week or a brain fart from the defence. Actually, It's not so much that Moist lacks balls that annoys me. It's the fact hat he lacks the brains to learn from his mistakes. FFS Everton.
