did we have any shots today I can't remember any?

In fact, I can't really remember any shots in the last game either...

oh, Neville hit one just over didn't he...

God I'm so Flat, I'm really fed up with this boring, un-inspiring, tepid dross.

Arsenal have a dodgy back line, if we'd had a go....

Well the easiest way to answer that is to do what you've advised not to do;

I don't think we have the players to reach the expectations we have.

Compare our strikers with the rest of the league...

Its not as simple as looking solely at our league position. If other teams results were different we could be higher or lower in the league.

Instead look at our results. We've lost 8 games, only 3 teams have lost more.

Is our squad really that bad?

Yeah we don't have a very strong strikeforce, but persisting with Cahill and Saha who aren't working and havent done so for a year means we'll never know if maybe a couple of those losses could of been turned into draws or wins if we had played 2 strikers.

Or changed things up a bit instead of being the same predictable team who other teams knew how to beat.

As we don't have the strikers who can score goals of their own back maybe we as a team could try more to actually score goals.

Some good points in there mate. Baines to LM isn't rocket science really and I cant understand why he hasn't done it. He's neutralised since Piennar left and he's been our best forward player for three seasons. That's a big problem and it needs addressing by a big move like that. If we had a recognised LB deputy I'm sure it would have been done already, but needs must and Neville is a safe enough defender on either flank I believe.

The only thing I can think of is that he's concerned about a lack of creativity, if we have fullbacks in both wide positions. Baines would give us much more than pretty much anyone else in that position though. If Moyes wants someone with the workrate of Pienaar to allow Baines to bomb on from left back, then it rules out Drenthe, Bily, Gueye, Anichebe and Barkley. Ossie will put the effort in but his little legs don't get him back very quickly and he can't create and defend at the same time.

Baines has played left mid in the past and was largely ineffective. He isn't going to run past anyone and so needs to overlap the winger or take pull backs to get space to cross. He's not a tricky winger who can make his own space. He's slow.

How often have we played him at left mid? Maybe the very occasional match. I can't remember it. I disagree that he can't beat a man. How many Chelsea players did he slalom past to set up Beckford's goal last year?

He's the worst player in the ****ing universe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nowhere near.

I didnt expect to win today.

But I would at least like to see us try.

Funny thing is...again Moyes doesnt learn. He's set up his team to defend against the better teams and its failed miserably. Chlesea, City, Arsenal with us keeping what? 2 clean sheets all season?

Clearly tells any sane person we cannot defend or keep clean sheets. So change it? Naaaah.

It seems like the team have written off the games against the bigger sides. We've taken quite a few points off them in previous seasons, but this year we're not even trying to compete. We're just hoping that they don't give us a drubbing. It's a horribly negative, defeatist attitude.

I was looking at stats yesterday that say that we've kept as many clean sheets as Bolton and failed to score in the same number of games as them. We definitely need to improve at both ends of the field.

There are a few people that have said Bily was World Class today and he could have run rings around the 1970 Brazil team on his own, but I agree with you, he is so poor its just not funny anymore. And I have been told to put the crack pipe down today.

What seems to have missed everyone else is that Arsenal had no fullbacks on the pitch today. None. He didn't trouble his man except for when he stumbled through his man that didn't want to then foul him.
We miss the hard running and industry (as well as the covering) Pienaar provided.

The applause before the game from the Arsenal fans was for Bily, cos they though he was one of their new statues. The lazy fekker moves so damn slow.

On the mark. I wondered what all the Bily fans were witnessing today and giving him plaudits in the first half. I believe it's more wanting him to succeed than actually he does. He killed Baines by not tracking back to cover but Neville shouldn't even be in the lineup.

Barkley needed to be contracted.

Vellios has been handed a couple of starts, completely ineffective. Lets not cripple his confidence because of our desperation. He's showed promise from the bench, the lad isn't ready to spearhead the attack.

Gueye I partly agree with, but he's been injured.

The fact is, we've got no nous in the middle of the park or on the wing an we don't have a decent striker. Until we do, 8th-12th is surely the best we can expect and achieve?
what do you mean barkley had to be contracted
