When you lose your two most influential players in Pienaar, Arteta, an two of your leading goalscorers in Yakubu and Beckford, and not replace them... then what do you expect?

For me, Moyes has lost his fight at the moment. His current, sulking, defeatist attitude stinks.

^^^^^^^ All day long.

No, I helped a team of no-ones and youngsters establish themselves in a lower league, and the same bunch of tools are now reigning champions of said league only 6 months later and they are 90% going to play in the second level of Bulgarian football and reached the quarters of the Cup.

Have you though? If you haven't, I see absolutely no logical usage of that argument.

I've never managed a team, no. But I did play for 7 years in a competitive league. I didn't understand why you thought that managing an amateur team had anything at all to do with your point.

Better utilisation of whats left, especially as whats being used isn't doing particularly well.

Of course it doesn't help, but when you have no money to buy players with you simply have to get the best out of what you have left.

And Moyes isn't.

If we win our game in hand, we rise to 8th.

Do we have the players to justify anything above 8th place?

I hate Moyes with a passion to be honest, but I can't see how anyone can blame him for today. Anyone managing Everton today would have had the same approach - defend for 90 minutes and keep the score low.

We did exactly what I expected and I'm happy with a 1-0 loss as it shows that when needed we can close shop against good sides.

In the Prediction League, I had a 2-0 Arsenal win, but wouldn't have been surprised by 4-0 or 5-0.

It simply wasn't a winnable game. Yes, criticise awful performances against the likes of Stoke and QPR by all means, but when you're playing Arsenal away and you're a side of our quality your only chance is to spoil and defend and hope beyond hope you sneak a 1-0 win or a 0-0 draw.

The real games start from now until the end of January. If we don't win at least 50% of them, Moyes should be sacked.

I didnt expect to win today.

But I would at least like to see us try.

Funny thing is...again Moyes doesnt learn. He's set up his team to defend against the better teams and its failed miserably. Chlesea, City, Arsenal with us keeping what? 2 clean sheets all season?

Clearly tells any sane person we cannot defend or keep clean sheets. So change it? Naaaah.

Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.
I can sympathise with people who are down in the dumps about us being absolutely naff but quite frankly if you're going to stop following us until we're good, then you can **** off because that's just kopite behaviour.

80% of football fans I know don't stay in to find a ****ty stream in polish to watch the game, and instead do things like, I dunno, go the gym and then catch MOTD later on, which is exactly what I'll be doing from now on.
Pipe down lad.

Oh you haven't?

Then why do you keep on pressing and thinking that you know anything about managing though?
My point was that I could argue about anything you said that it was not correct (not everything though, you may be right about something, not saying anything bad). And I stand by that. Until I get pissed at how much more can you swerve the subject in point and just go all passive against it and give up on your pointless ways.

The first sign of showing you know nothing or you're lying is to keep side-tracking from the main point. I'm guessing anyone should know that.

give our young players like barkley, gauye, top scorer velli ect.... the chance to become influential players!

or change our formation to suit our players now those players have left!

Some good points in there mate. Baines to LM isn't rocket science really and I cant understand why he hasn't done it. He's neutralised since Piennar left and he's been our best forward player for three seasons. That's a big problem and it needs addressing by a big move like that. If we had a recognised LB deputy I'm sure it would have been done already, but needs must and Neville is a safe enough defender on either flank I believe.

Baines has played left mid in the past and was largely ineffective. He isn't going to run past anyone and so needs to overlap the winger or take pull backs to get space to cross. He's not a tricky winger who can make his own space. He's slow.

That's a good point. We've been playing the formation to suit Marcus Bent for years now.

I didnt expect a win today, I also didnt expect to see our only striker taken off at 60 mins, at 0-0 for a Ch, and our best CH moved out of position, I also didnt expect the confidence sappingntreatment of Barkley to sink to a new low, I did however expect Moyes to make the ridiculously stupid decision of playing Neville in midfield.
