The funny thing is macca, if Allardyce did manage to get us to a 7th/8th/9th place finish, then the board could easily see that as justification to let him see out the final year of his contract, so Allardyce being binned might be not as open and shut as we would like to think. :(

Wouldn't surprise me in the least Lou, the words incompetent, clueless, rudderless spring to mind when I think about those supposedly in charge so if we did finish top 10 I would say it's 50/50 they keep him.

I think how it will pan out is we will finish 14th so they have an excuse to sack him whilst he can then walk away saying he kept us up which was his remit.

What really galls me as well mate is, he'll walk away with a years wage paid up, and probably a big bonus for keeping us up.

5-1 is bad and respect to those who made the trip. A bad start compounded by a deflection and offside goal.

2nd half game gone but respectable effort. It is not as bad as it seems, men. Mangala rusty and will need games. We know we're miles off the best sides anyway this season.

Two draws from the last two games would not see us better off, and the next 5 games are winnable. With Coleman in a back four without MS in front we have plenty of reason to finish top half.

Mangala rusty?

In December, he started six games for Manchester City, and was on the bench for three more.

In January, injured players started returning and City signed Laporte too. Mangala started just one game, but was on the bench for seven more.

His last start for City was against Bristol City on 9 January. It proved to be the last straw.

Finally got up the courage to watch the recorded game. Oh my giddy aunt that first half was bad. Why so many changes after the Leicester win? BFS team selection was mind blowing. He said he watched the Swansea game but instead of playing 3-5-2 he played 5-2-3 was he thinking Kenny and Cuco were midfielders? One of them is barely a defender!
Why do managers put Morgan and Guye out as the midfield - a review of our first dozen games this season might explain why this doesn’t work.
I just dont understand why the following list of players suddenly became utter turd this season;
Williams
Schneiderlin
Guye
Keane
Klassen
Tosun
Rooney
Sigurdsson
Bolasie

Coming to Everton is like professional suicide!
This loss was all BFS!!

Oh yeah and Davies was clearly MotM

Exhibit A below explains the whole story. To be a winner, you need to have the necessary attitude.
If you are not gonna use him, why the hell lured him. you can have the money back and send him. We'll absolutely love him with us against Bayern.

Looking at how bad Arsenal were tonight, and at the weekend, regardless of who they played, they have no spirit, so this result and the fact Sam didnt even try and win it, is now looking like an even bigger joke than it did at the time too many, they have won one in the last 4 league games and went into this game off the back of getting wacked by Swansea!!!

One of the most gutless performances in our history which still rankles badly, mostly because it was self-inflicted.

We should be thankful to Sam for sorting the defence and helping us avoid certain relegation. For sure we would have lost REALLY badly if our lovely tubby Sam wasn't here......

A grand total of 9 goals conceded against Spurs and Arsenal combined. Our lovely tubby Sam, sure did sort out the defence alright!lol
