I think we are starting to piece together now why yesterday was such a horror show. If the players really were sat down on a Thursday and told ‘Watch this video’ and the bottom team in the league was held up as the way forward, you can understand how that would tick off the players. It’s like he’s saying ‘you lot are just as crap, but if we follow the same system we might just get a draw’. There was clearly no buy in by the players for Sam’s copying of the Swansea Masterclass, and to be honest you can imagine what they all said to each other after he’d left the room. It just smacks of a slap dash beaten before you start mentality.

Well it is the morning after and usually Saturday's performances don't tend to look so bad in hindsight, goodness knows we have had enough practice justifying rank bad performances over the last while. This one is different, everything about it looks every bit as bad today as it looked last night. The manager's assessment only made it worse. Tomorrow mornings training is going to be testing.

It's painfully clear Allardyce is simply going to target the games we have a chance at winning, the rest he's going to throw away, like yesterday. Thankfully we only need nine points or thereabouts to stay up, and that, after all, is his specialty. Like many, I might have been a bit blinded by the early string of good results, but this type of tactical cowardice cannot be tolerated any longer.

Couldn't even stomach watching the second half, of the first half. Let alone the other 45 mins. Good to know he might not be as calamitous as some are making him out to be.

This is exactly what he us doing, picking games, it's horrible but unfortunatly its understandable, hating every second of this but we will stay up, he will be gone and at some point we can just move on and forget this season
