frustrated not to get anything, but on the other hand it could have been more than 2 for arsenal, bit off an odd score-could have been 2-2,or 4-1 etc, just the way the game went,as ever we need to learn to start the game, and not play for 45mins,when we are usually a goal behind.thought we keep arsenal quiet for 20 odd mins till the 1st goal came from no were really

Highly surprised at the general fume. Thought we went there and tried to win the game. Up until conceding the two very soft goals courtesy of a goalkeeper who appears low on confidence and scared of any physical contact with the oppositions attackers, and who quite frankly is finished at the top level, we were comfortable.

That team with a confident keeper could match most teams in the upper levels of the Premiership.
In the 1st half we hardly came out of our own half how is that trying to win the game.
In the 2nd half we had a few chances but they hit the woodwork twice and tim fell in front of the ball 4 or 5 times.
W e have the players of that there is no doubt but when asleep in the 1st half we gave them the ball as much as we could and 2 goals

Bizarre?

13 points from 10 games this season (with a 28m striker) and a disgrace of a campaign last time out.

Moyes got us 4th with Marcus Bent.

Yeah but City were playing with Ben Thatcher and Darius Vassel, Spurs were in perpetual meltdown, Liverpool played Djimi Traore at LB, and mid-table sides like WBA and Palace couldn't afford to spend £10mn on absolute dross on James Chester and Connor Wickham. Completely different eras

Mate, you and I watch different games. No point discussing views as we'll just go round in circles. You thought we were pants first bald and I thought we were well in it before calamity keeper intervened.

Thank you WB.....belting post that.

Yeah fair enough but look back at that 1st half we were awful

It's also worth mentioning that Moyes' scouting was ahead of his time. Now every club is picking up great players from abroad (Wjinauldrum, Payet etc) but instead of paying pennies like Moyes could the competition and TV money means they can spend £12-20 million without blinking. Moyes now wouldn't be able to build the team he built then with the finance we have.

I thought we were a lot better than Alan Smith made us sound.....if you listened to his commentary we weren't in the game, if you silenced it we were well in it. Nothing like a bit of pundit bias to throw a different perspective on the game.

The main frustration for me is how good we could be. We've got so many dangerous players that don't have anyone to play off, hopefully Cleverley coming back in will remedy that to some extent.
maybe he'll replace Barry and give us a bit more dynamism going forward.

I watched the game i don't need alan smith to tell me we were poor 1st half

Anyone thinking that Robles is the answer is, with respect, delusional. That said, last season when he played the run of games in January and did increasingly well with each game, the subsequent decision to drop him just to let a fit again Howard walk back in was criminal. That decision would have destroyed Robles and told Howard he had no competition for the jersey as long as he stayed fit.

Robles has to start the next game after that performance from howard.
Martinez bought him so he must rate him
