Still rarely lost two consecutive games.

Martinez has turned us into a team of fannies who is unable to break down teams who defend against us and often falls apart in front of their home fans.

Look at our home record last 18 months, it's pathetic.

your bizarrely biased against martinez

At least there was an effort to try and win. Overall I must say I'm disappointed but pleased. On to next week, no use complaining about this result it won't change.

Just another pathetic performance, we could of quite easily left North London with a point tonight if our players actually made an effort. John Stones aside they were awful, it was like we were trying to lose. At least under Moyes we made some effort, our players particularly Tim Howard should hang their heads in shame. As usual we take a top support away from home who are left disappointed by a pathetic Everton. Just go back to America Tim Howard you useless idiot you cost us at least 15 points a season.

You didn't watch any away games under Moyes did you.

...play Robles in the League Cup match like normal and if he does well this time out just leave him in the squad for Sunderland...

Highly surprised at the general fume. Thought we went there and tried to win the game. Up until conceding the two very soft goals courtesy of a goalkeeper who appears low on confidence and scared of any physical contact with the oppositions attackers, and who quite frankly is finished at the top level, we were comfortable.

That team with a confident keeper could match most teams in the upper levels of the Premiership.

The main frustration for me is how good we could be. We've got so many dangerous players that don't have anyone to play off, hopefully Cleverley coming back in will remedy that to some extent.

Some massive over reaction on here as usual. Arsenal are currently playing with great confidence, and playing out of their skin as well. We lost two goals to great crosses, partly after a second look, I would say that Howard was not out quick enough for the second goal, but it wwas an excellent header and Stones did not appear to be marking anyone. Kone would have headed clear all day long. The first was a lovely touch by Giroud from a great cross, and Jagielka did not do enough to put Giroud off. We improved greatly in the second half and by the end of the game it was Arsenal who were wanting the final whistle to blow. We all know the off the field reasons why we lost to United, but today we gave a very good side a close run game. Gerry played a full game, and was close to being our best player, Funes was excellent when he came on for Jags, and I have no worries seeing his name on the team sheet in future. He is going to settle in to be a very good centreback, the natural successor to Jags. Mirallas continues to frustrate...one good turn and shot, and then a stupid foul. Gerry will dive...he's Spanish after all, but Martinez needs to have a word with him. I thought Lukaku did OK with no service, and looked a threat in the second half when we got on top. Altogether, we put the effort in, and that is the least we can expect. Nine points from the next three, and we're back on track. Cleverly available as well. I suspect he would have been useful today if 100% fit.

Just got back. A spirited effort I suppose against a tiring Arsenal team but it masked some many problems. First and foremost our inept goalie, an issue that should have been addressed in the summer but wasn't. It is not just Howard's flapping on crosses but early on he seemed intent on causing our defence maximum stress by playing it out short to defenders no further forward than our penalty box and being pressed down by 3-4 Arsenal players, end result total panic and either Howard just about getting away with a hoof or Jags kicking it straight to one of their players. The reaction off the away fans towards Howard was pure venom and he got a huge ironic cheer when actually managing to catch one in the second half. After the first goal, Stones really turned on him.

No service today for Lukaku. Was McCarthy even playing?! I have never known a player get a free pass of the fans in the way he does. Lennon was largely poor today and it was criminal that Mirallas only got 20 mins when we needed a goal.

Deulofeu by far and away our best player, mostly because so many blatantly weren't. Galloway played well for a long time then suffered from a lack of concentration and composure when going forward towards the end.

And what a sh*t out ref Mason is, the first yellow for Barry was ridiculously soft yet their left back escaped a yellow for a blatant hack to bring down Deulofeu when going clear behind their defence.
