how are people blaming howard for giroud's goal ,the slipper has run under the ball and lost his man. it was a simple defensive header if he keeps the guy in front of him.

Think it's because Howard somehow makes himself small when a goalkeepers instinct must be to stay up and keep tall in a situation like that. He's very low and falling backwards.

....the 2nd goal was very poor and I'm talking about how the free kick resulted. As for the goals, I've said for an age that we don't appear to work defensively, it's only about what we do when we have the ball. Relatively comfortable then 2 minutes later we are 2 down. Very poor defending.

Yep the build up eggs was a bloody joke. Just conceded and then Barry plays a lazy slow ball and we are right in trouble and concede the free kick.

I'm not sure why Martinez insists on Barry having to come into the back and make a 3 to start play as he only plays the same crap lofted pass Jags does and it leaves us a man lighter in midfield instantly when the ball gets turned over and immediately the back is under pressure and Barry is in no man's land. I'm a big fan of Barry I really am but sometimes it's just absolutely needless for him to drop in like he does. If he was hitting 80 yard Koeman like balls out from the back I would understand.

Yep. I noticed that. Really poor I thought, and I rarely pan a player.

As an aside- Sky Sports with their usual balanced set up. Alan Smith as pundit, with Henry and Redknapp in the studio. Quite funny really, especially when Henry says, "Arsenal score the second, and we're all rubbing our hands together saying excellent."

Thought we were playing OK until the 2 gifts we gave them. Its an Achilles heal of ours...crosses....we just cannot deal with them especially with a coward of a keeper. We only have Stones that is capable of heading a ball defensively against crosses and that is a glaring weakness. We have got a lifeline with a deflection but the shot still looked on target and the keeper may or may not have saved it. We have to stop crosses at source in open play. Del needs to cut the exaggeration out even though I believe and hand was on him he didn't need to go down. Would still leave Del on as he has added pace to us. Going to be an interesting 2nd half unless we shoot ourselves in the foot again. Soft soft goals to concede even though the commentators are creaming themselves over the quality of crosses........if it was Arsenal that conceded those goals there wouldn't be a mention of quality crosses..just bad defending.
