never show up? that's harsh. these teams have £20m players on their benches. it's what separates top top class footballers from very good ones, those who have the right personality and confidence at the highest pressure moments. we can't afford a squad like that sadly.

The annoying thing is that we are a quality goalkeeper away from having a squad like that.

like liverpool at home, we've played against an arsenal side who were by no means at their best. like the derby game we have come away with less than we should have. we need to capitalise on these games.

Thought we were good for a draw with the chances we created in the second half.

Tim Howard needs putting down.

Mirallas looked lively, and Galloway did nicely again, Funes Mori assured.

Poor all round, Martinez included for waiting so late with that sub.

Only exception was Galloway again who had another very good game.

Bit harsh, we were unlucky not to score a second. Granted Arsenal made some decent chances in the second half but that was always going to be expected given the onus was on us to get forward after conceding those poor goals in the first half.

Our odds to beat Arsenal were 8/1. Not 60/1.

Sick of all the excuses for our narrow, "unlucky" defeats.

Our attitude in these games is that of a team who expects to lose. I thought we were supposed to play with no fear.
Of course I want us to win and play well. It's disappointing that we didn't. Just not going to lose my mind over getting outplayed by a better team.

We showed good spirit at the end, deserved a point. But Rom was too isolated and Howard cost us points again. We'll have to sort this keeper issue soon, I don't think Joel is the answer.

Language.

But agree. McCarthy had another of his pointless games.

Pointless apart from all the pointing he did. I think he excelled himself today in the pointing stakes and would have out pointed even Phil Neville. He even points when there's no one there, like literally not even an opposing player, almost like he's pointing to the crowd going "that's where Dave sits, Kevin sits over there and Susie must have gone the bog cos she's not sitting in her seat".
