Hope so too tbh, also hope it's not DCL upfront. We've looked massively better with Cenk up top, despite him not scoring. DCL's movement and finishing don't exist so it's not that hard, but...

I think Hank’s confidence is shot to pieces which is why Eton Dom started today. I didn’t watch the game (I’ve stopped watching Everton already this season), but it sounds like Eton Dom played well.?

Any chance of getting that in English?

I can't remember Fulham beating us at home in the league in my lifetime. Time for an "Everton that" moment.

Let’s not catastrophise, the difference today was the quality of the finishing, they have top strikers we don’t, we matched them in every other aspect, bettered them in some.

9 shots, six on target today, 4 in 5 last week.

Both games an opp player should have been sent off.

Officials and our lack of finishing are the issues.

Kenny was excellent today as was Keane. That cruyff on the halfway line was ace.

First half was very good, apart from finishing. Their second killed it for us, which was a shame, clearly offside. Actually thought we defended much better today.

So not a very consistent start what with injuries and sending’s off, particularly at the back where settled personal is a must. Better football, just not picking up the points, which was always a concern for me.

Calvert-Lewin definitely deserves the criticism for his finishing being subpar, but I don't have a problem with his movement really. He's quick and gets up well but has next to no composure in front of goal.

I don't think either Davies or Gueye played badly.

None of them really played badly. Our forward's didn't take the chances (Walcott, DCL ones were the biggest opportunities). Lacazette showed his quality and then Arsenal got lucky for their second.

I thought Siggy wasn’t great. Most others did quite well. Wingers faded a bit in the second half

Unrealistic expectations? It's not necessarily about today.

It's the fact we've literally only been able to beat Saints and Rotherham.

Defensively we look very very weak.

When I say unrealistic expectations I am talking about the whole season. From the mess Silva inherited it will take the best part of 2 seasons before we can compete at the top end of the division.
Hopefully we can have a good cup run in the meantime.
