It may be down to low expectations but I was pretty pleased with most of that, we actually looked a bit like a decent football team which is a novelty.

However, defeat is defeat and have we ever been this many points behind our friends across the park 6 games in? Things certainly aren't rosy.

Next weekend really could make or break our season. Fail to win and it is going to start getting ugly.

Down to their goalkeeper being mom and us not being clinical enough in front of goal.
Exactly, and an unfortunate offside goal, but the Gunners were on top at that stage and you make your own luck, which they did.
Until Moshiri breaks the bank to fund a world class striker we will have problems as we don’t take the few chances that we create. If we wait too long to sign a great striker we won’t get one, as no world class striker will join a struggling side.

I watched Fulham’s game vs Watford and I think we will struggle to overcome them. They played some nice attacking football and I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet. Fingers crossed for a draw.

Thought we were easily as good as Arsenal today and should have got at least a draw out of this match. Their goalkeeper was mom, how many times over the years has the Arsenal goalkeeper been mom against us, especially when Arsenal are at home ?
The other difference was the strikers, Arsenal paid well over £100m for their two, we paid under £30m for our two and today you could tell. They beat against the run of play with a worldy and their second was clearly offside. We played some good stuff today, our defending and approach play was decent, the only thing missing from our performance were the goals to show for it.

Saw something on Twitter that the value of the 14 Arsenal players on the pitch only cost circa £40m more than our 14. Staggering considering the likes of Zouma, Bernard, Davies, Kenny and DCL played which cost peanuts. Add Schneiderlin and Mina and we’re probably there or thereabouts. Plus the likes of Bolasie and Sandro still on the wage bill.

Not sure how accurate it is but if true we’ve spent very poorly in recent years. Depressing.

Watford absolutely battered them first half and should have been 2-3 up,if we play like we did for the first 60 minutes and take our chances we'll be comfortable winners.

I really need to stop having football in my life. I haven't enjoyed it for about 30 years.

I was thinking that to myself after today’s game.

I wish I coukd wash this loser club right out of my hair.

Even when we play well we cannot buy a win at a “big” ground.

I don't think we can blame the officials for losing. We can blame the officials for not doing their job. It's getting ridiculous now.

We collapsed after the first though. But that's happened for years. I don't know how to fix it. Nobody does.

We've been run badly for the last 3 years. Koeman and Walsh did a number on us. We now need to give Silva and Brands time to fix it and bring us some stability.

Well if Twitter is right, every news outlet say Everton outplayed Arsenal, and the scoreline flattered them. Lob in a worldy, and an offside goal, then lob in that probably their cheapest buy was MOTM for them, by a mile, and a slightly different narrative can been seen.

They had 2 Strikers up top that cost a combined 100m, we had a 1.5m Striker from League One.

Just sayin.
