We lost. How we played overall is irrelevant at the moment. We need wins badly.

Agreed , But were you expecting one from there?I was hopeing for 1 maybe. I would rather lose there and win Sat. The preformance in the first half was encourageing to say the least. Arteta had his best game for ages . Bring on Blackpool. Onwards and upwards blues.Second half we had a few chances but they swamped us soft goal but we go on . 3 points Sat COYB"!

Given how Wenger gave a complete non-answer it must have been pretty bad, plus of course Cesc has been running around like a particularly unpleasant little ****e all season, even last weekend against Huddersfield, but also in the home game against them (when he should have been sent off) as well as today.

The fact that he has pissed about in London whilst the club he left have turned into possibly the greatest club side of all time must eat at him every hour of every day.

I dont know who he reckons he is (Fabregas). Very good player, but he played a bit part in the Spanish WC campaign and has won feck all in the game at club level. He needs a bit more on the CV before he starts expecting the world to fall at his feet.

Davek, i hear you with the cringing remark. Oftentimes complaining about "time-wasting" and the like reads like a "woe-is-us" sentiment. However, the elite teams across Europe are extremely good at executing it. FIFA, UEFA and universal officialdom try to curb it, but its hard when many teams fall into what i would call "time-wasting traps "(sic). AT the end of the day, Arsenal are simply a better team than us, its why it was 2-1. However, as fans - HUMANS even - we need to rid ourselves of a wee bit of dissonance to justify a defeat. For me, in the last two games, we have fallen foul to two teams who can execute time-wasting most wonderfully - so its more apparent than usual. Of course, if we were in the 5th rd of the cup and we had picked up pts tonight, it wouldn't have felt as bad. hope that helped with yr cringing mate. :)

Hmmm. Take a look at the last 5 minutes of the first half mate. We did a bit of winding down of the clock ourselves.

Bottom line: we weren't bold enough to get the win from a good position.

That's irrelevant for tonight though? Moyes has said Fabregas can not only dictate games with his feet on the pitch, he can dictate it off it too and win the game.

Would love a player like that in our team. :)

And thats your comment ? Ok then FFS! Hows that?

And that's my comment to what?

All I'm saying is try to tone down the language, every post has a shortened down swear word in it. Just not needed, especially after the thread the other day

Anyway....

A defeat hurt tonight after our brightish start. The subs were indeed just uninspiring

Please mate, put me on ignore. No, really. It's not that difficult. If you dont know how I'll talk you through it.

What talk me through why your an Evertonian? I don´t think you could ! Did you not think there was anything to take from the preformance Davek Really?

Even more interested now.

Wenger in variation of the "I didn't see it" gambit.

Pulls out a "I didn't hear it" variation. I see.

Phil can point really good. Refs cower at that skill!

That's going to be my match report.

Arsenal 2-1 Everton

This season is crap.

You know, I own all the season reviews they ever made....this one is going to be hard to market, I can see it now, the title of the dvd:

Everton Season Review 2010-2011

What are you expecting?

Fabregas: "You must give us the game on a plate"

Lee Mason: "Yes, monobrow, you are a WC winner. Of course we will"

It's just sour grapes.

Move on, we got beat.

Heitinga is pretty awful, but Jags has been so far off form that he's not much better. Arteta's just not doing it for me in the middle. Either try him out on the left or let him sit it out for a bit. Fellaini and Rodwell look solid together and we need Cahill back behind Saha. Bily will hopefully get to grips with the pace of the game. He hasn't had that many opportunities over the last 18 months.

I'm sorry, but I just don't rate Ossie. If he's in there to plug a gap and run around busily, couldn't Baxter do that? Why bring a half-fit Anichebe on for Coleman? Why not use Beckford? Why didn't we have a man on the post for their second goal? Sigh.
