Does anybody else think that the reason that Arteta has been singled out for criticism is because we have such high expectations of him?

He hasn't done anything particuarly disastrous imo, but he's lacked the spark that I believe a lot of us expect from him (given his wages and his stature within the team). Compare with someone like say Neville or Osman who we don't expect to be changing games and we just want them to do their jobs well.

But he makes an early sub (the one time he didn't need to), brought off one of our beat attacking outlets - even though he was average, to play a small centre mid on the left where I dont think ive ever seen him have a good game.

What a stupid decision.

As for the game, played well first half, second was bad, feel sorry for Powell but both goals where sadly his fault imo :/ maybe not so much the first...

Credit to haha, he looked hungry for the ball tonight

How many teams hold 1-0 at Arsenal? How many teams draw at Arsenal? Soft 2cnd goal. Every corner thier center back won the ball . Bad defending Twice cost us points . Not Moyes or Osman . Rodwell!

Yeah I remember at the time and Rodwell was one of the culprits. He is still naive defensively, no doubt.

Yoi can say that every game, despite this player was crap...he had no involvement in the goal so it wasn't his fault...

Or It was the players fault...not moyes...you can say it for any situation, did you really think that sub helped hold on to a 1-0 lead?

No . You can say mark him dont let him win the header Rodders ,but you can´t win the header for him.
 

Heads up blues ,am as upset as anyone really . sorry to anyone I offended tonight. . Bit sick of the Neg vibe .I´m pasionate and go ott from time to time . But I love Everton and react badly to poeple who bad mouth my love ,and I thought we played well tonight 3 points Sat maybe we´ll be just a jot more positive . Peace to all . x

Was at the game tonight. We played alright but the defence still looks weak - Arsenal could have (should have) been a couple up at half time. You knew as soon as we conceded that was it.

But then I went and got drunk so it doesn't seem as bad.
