He maybe coming out but if he going to come out, then he needs to catch the ball. In on incident, he could have easily catch the ball, but he chose to punch it. McCarthy was fuming with him, rightly so.

Let's not forget how young the kid in goal is barkley has put some bad performances in this season yet we still have faith in him in fact it would be fair to say that barkley at his worse has been worse than osman at his worst yet most would still pick barkley so let's not give up on him yet he did make a good save right after we scored in many ways the biggest difference between the 2 teams is corzola n chamberlain plus they may as well have gone with 10 men an not played sanogo

I'd be confident if we didn't have Joel in goal. Good shot stopper but handling + commanding of his area is not good enough.

But I think Howard is still a better shot stopper and has been in excellent form so far this season. I don't understand why RM is playing Joel in what could be our biggest game of the season. We get through this and avoid City in the semi final and we are in Europe...we can then concentrate on league games knowing Europe is in the bag.

It's crazy isn't it? I think that RM ought to use a sub now and bring Howard on for the second half. The defence just looks too damn nervous in front of Joel. Howard on now and we still have two subs to bring the likes of Deulofeu or McGeady on later if we need an attacking boost.

I can't see Martinez doing it though, would destroy Robles confidence after hes been spending so long building him up. I don't know that he's pragmatic enough to do it
