My daughters just hired an art studio in Edinburgh to start work on paintings & prints she hopes to sell a fantastic artist a degree & a masters gained up there in the Art university......

I have posted some of her work on this thread before already sold two big works of art in galleries, but with 40 percent commission- she is going to do it the easiest way .....

I just think these old domestic artefacts are magnificent. The tenement we stay in wasn't particularly posh when it was built in 1930 but some of the little features such as the fireplace above and also cornices are so artfully designed.
Old council-built dwellings around my city Edinburgh and elsewhere also feature attractive tiled surfaces as standard. I think it said a lot for the attitude of the time towards social housing after the war.
