Dont expect any more from him, he is going to a bigger and better club, where he can play better football and gets the recognition he deserves.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But his attitude isn't what I had expected.....proboaly says more about me than it does about him. Can he expect a warm reception when he faces us this season?

of course he should get a warm reception, as for his attitude I must admit that he looked far from blase about the move when he gave his final interview to the official site. he gave respect to the club and the people and said it was the end of the best time of his career.
good luck to him.

He was always a ****house.

The amount of times he let us down and just did not show up for the bigger games.

Great against ****e teams.

Disagree. Fellaini is a football player. Barkley is a football player. Rodwell when he puts shift in can be a football player.

We can be direct. But we can also play football with them in midfield.

I blame the board. They'll be loving the fact they got a nice wedge with no opportunity to be forced to spend it. Its made them feel more secure. Top and bottom of it.

Not a penny have Kenwright etc put in to Everton to make it more PROFITABLE and boost commercial revenues. Where the hell is this Annex building?

They love TV money. Its lazy. Its amaturish. This deal is a deal too far in my book.

As bad as the Duncan Ferguson to Newcastle castration.

Very different players to Mikel mate, he had genuine craft and a genius, they guys have their strengths and good players but their skills are different.

I think we are going back to smash and grab football mate and going to play percentages, at least the team looks something more balanced now.

I agree with parts of that obviously some less so i dont think there was an active strategy there for the sale if im honest, not that it didnt serve our buisness interests. Commercial stuff certaintly could be improved on.

I think everyone accepts a change at the top would be welcome, even those at the top.

People will read into the sale what they want and wont be for moving - as always it comes down to what people beleive.

Dunno why, but I feel like I'm halfway through a wake.

I too wish him every success in his career & genuinely hope he gets a call up to the Spanish team.

He did put a transfer request in, to whoever narked me for saying he didn't wanna leave

The deal had looked dead after talks between the two clubs broke down but it was revived soon after Arteta handed in his transfer request an hour before the deadline.

That's the only thing that frustrated me about all of this. He wanted to leave, but he waited till the last hour to do so; it gave us no chance to replace him.

All the best to Mikel and his family for the future,, there was no doubting your commitment in a blue shirt, an Everton warrior,, FFS!

let things settle down first and then th real thoughts will come out

unfortunately( for us ) he has moved on to a better footballing place than where he was whether that move gives him the spotlight his talent deserves time will tell... there will be loads of "articles" about him / everton / arsenal !!!!!

believe the ones you see

Not cool that he waited until the last minute to hand in the request, but let's be honest, Everton weren't going to spend that money to replace him. And a player who has been dog poo for 18 months doesn't really need replacing.

he sees it as bettering himself in football terms so why begrudge him ?????

and whos to say we would have been allowed to go out and splash the transfer fee anyways???
