Strange, before Wenger they had recent sustained success under George Graham, won 2 titles, few League and Fa Cups and a Cup Winners Cup, did the double in 71, and had won 10 league titles before Wenger arrived.

Arsenal had one of the first Dominant periods in English football as well.

Even after Chelsea's bought success since 2005, Arsenal are still London's #1 team by most honours and fanbase in the city.

I give Arsenal far more respect then the two plastic oil teams, they have authentic history not propped up by a gangster boss or despotic regime.
Oh, they may have a good fanbase, but in reality, in modern times they are not a top 6 team and before and after Wenger have been just about the level of Everton in any given season.

They were quite good, before any of us were alive.

I know they had a few missing this weekend but that squad looked awful, and there just doesn't seem to be any identity under Arteta. Like, most teams even if they lose you can at least see what they were trying to do, but there....nothing.

The people who were advocating him for Everton manager should be in this thread wearing sackcloth and ashes and begging forgiveness.

An utter catastrophe of a manager. And a Judas to boot.
He is seriously trying to over complicate things, it's like he is trying to play some sort of hybridised version of Peps passing but staying solid at the back like a Moyes team but all with a notoriously bunch of lazy players within the Arsenal setup. On top of it you never know (as manager) if you are going to get backed at Arsenal in the window. Wrong manager, wrong club, this could be the year they really struggle imo.

He also looks like hels trying to integrate way too many youngsters all at once. I dont have a great grasp of Arsenal at the moment, but that would be my perception.
