He plays no more or no less than other internationals. As for your point about swanseas defence it is a fair one (but Williams was there stand out performer). The same could be said of everton's poor defence last season, but city are going to spend upto 50m to take stones 'out of it'
I never mentioned Williams' performances in the euros, my judgement of him being a solid, reliable defender with great leadership qualities is based on his performances in the premiership.
He is what we need at present to replace stones, not some unproven championship defender or a foreign defender from another league who is unproven in the premiership, which is far more of a gamble. In time under walsh's guidance we might go down that route, but at the moment we need stability in our defence and there is no doubt Williams would provide that. If there is one position I trust koeman to make the right decision it's centre half, if he considers Williams to be the most suitable 'fit' at this time that's fine by me.

Yes but he's not for sale anything over 10 million for a 31 year old out of goal player is OTT
As for Stones city have or not going th meet our value
It's back to the drawing board for another commanding ball winning centre half in the air!

Unfortunately, the Sky TV deal has distorted all prices. Yes 10m seems a lot of money for a 31 year old centre half, but United are paying 10m+ for a 34 year old forward!!! If Williams wants to come here (rumours suggest he is open to the move) then I still think the deal will happen.
But if we do get Williams, I still think we will be back to the drawing board for another centre half, as I can't see koeman just relying on Williams, Mori and a sadly injury prone captain at present.

Bt and large I agree mate but see on the Stones thread there are reports of him being in Manchester to night and I do not think he is clubbing if true.
