...I cant see a youth policy being adhered to. Any youngster will have to be the next Rooney to get in this team in the next couple of seasons. Early signs are that RK is going to go with older more athletic and experienced pros to bolster his position at the club.
Wow Davek is back?

Noticing this new development was the most important announcement of the day. ...and its cool we have a new toy in the bin named Williams

His use of davies and holgate and past at saints dont suggest that

He only plans to be with us short term, not added if he leaves us with an aging squad. Hopefully Walsh will bring youth to the squad.
I think that'll be the preferred way. Wenger-like trawling of up and coming North African and sub-Saharan Africa young talent. It may well be that the production line grinds to a halt with Davies and Dowell just about making it through the doors and into the squad.

Holgate bought in though with a fair bit of experience.

I imagine rhino will have his ear while he's in post - our recent youth record won't have escaped his notice and i really dont mind playing youth on merit if it keeps them hungry
Anyway from his post match comments so far he seems to keep a good track of player performances so i'm sold on him thus far

You should point out to some of the more excitable posters that this is all conjecture on your part. If you are right (and I think you are), it would suggest that he's is going all out to make an impact, no doubt in an effort to further his career, but if he picks up a trophy then happy days. Football is a results business these days and the pressure is enormous, so it's perfectly understandable that managers think short-term. Hopefully, Moshiri and Walsh will be thinking longer-term, looking for potential and investing in our youth system and infrastructure, please give them the benefit for now.
