Williams instantly makes me feel alot easier with the defending side of things then Stones ever did, its all very nice playing the ball from the back which hes great at, but its not excatly the thing we need right now
 
Pleased with this. Stones wanted to leave, we got great money, and an unsettled player is replaced before start of season. Williams is a solid solid defender. Nothing to see here. It is our other rumored deals that we have to worry about.

...which is a defender and we got one. Like you, think this was good business. Got loads for Stone and paid buttons for a proven premier league defender.

As a Swansea City and Wales fan I'd like to congratulate Everton on the signing of your next leader and cult hero,Ashley Willams.Whatever the fee turns out to be ladies and gents,believe me you have stolen him.What you now have is an out and out defender who will fling himself in the way of an opposition scoring opportunity,a player who for the last eight years has hardly missed a game for the Swans and who always turns up for his country.He is brave (at the recent Euro's for Wales he simply refused to come off when injured and a substitute was ready to take his place on the pitch),and he can also pass the ball as well as any defender playing today.He will step straight into your team and he will improve it.This move has left a huge hole to be filled in the team for Swansea City,I honestly think that he will be an enormous loss to the club,but he will be at the heart of the Everton defence for the next couple of years.Good luck to Everton,best of luck and thanks to Ashley.
