I actually like Funes Mori, think he's pretty good going forward with the ball and a danger when he can run onto a header in the opposite penalty box. He's just terrible on the back foot, and you need the defence to defend first. Look, here's a quote from someone who knows his stuff to break it down for you...

I'm more arsed about him being a defender rather than some superannuated winger. If he knocks shots off the line and gets touch tight to wingers and stops crosses getting in regularly then he'll shut his doubters up.

If that's the case for a full back it most certainly is more so for a centre back

I think both Williams and Funes have that Lescott-of-old-like goal threat in them. Given the circumstances, we will surely see them on the pitch together this season.

Honestly Jagielka gives it away very cheaply too. The only ones left that don't are now Holgate and Funes (as far as our CBs).
