Contrast this to some of the back turning, leg dangling, ball jumping, cowardly 'defending' we've seen over the last three seasons. It's these fine margins that make the difference between a ball going straight back out because the defender has commuted to the block, or a ball deflecting past a keeper due to a half hearted effort.

Absolutely right. Some of it last season was rank unacceptable.
