was a mental deadline day that though.

it's the one where it all kicked off and then started the bile that it is now.

all we did was slyly break our transfer record for Fellaini late on haha

Wasn't it saha, nash and fellaini all just in before midnight?

stress that window. Funny but stress.

My gut thinks we won't. But that might be the bad news ij in me.

not as confident as I was clearly but I am confident in the knowledge that we have agreed terms with the player.

Maybe that will sway it, maybe it won't. At the moment i'd still say he's ours if we're willing to put on a few mil on top of the £10mil (though as you said earlier supposedly it's £8m?).

Ball's still in our court I'd say. If Koeman's determined to get him then we will do.

Am I right in thinking we publicly rejected a transfer bid for Fellaini in order to get him to put in a transfer request? That way he didn't get some sort of loyalty fee? Maybe swans are doing the same, who knows? But for it to be so publicly recognised as being a very likely thing to happen it's odd that this has occurred.

Hang on if Swansea say hes not for sale unless we offer stupid money the deals dead!
Its these rumours the net the media band them around as I stated we usually sign players we are not linked too!

A Swansea spokesman said: "We are not looking to sell him, and therefore we have turned down the offer currently on the table."

'Currently on the table' might suggest they're holding out for more than we've offered.

No official confirmation on whether we've bid the widely speculated £10m though so maybe we've bid less and they're holding out for that amount.

Swansea are watching us play hardball over Lukaku and Stones and want their slice. Sounds like they're resigned to losing Williams, now they're m just digging they're heels in trying to get a few extra quid. Still expect this to happen.

They have every right to though don't they, he's their captain, one of their best players.

yeh Lou I've got no qualms about it.

We seem to have agreed the fee in principle but they've changed their minds. It's a seller's market and they don't want to sell, so it's fair enough.

the fact that their public statement basically just screams 'we won't accept this offer' though tells me this isn't over unless we decide to move on, so it just depends how determined we are to get Williams in.

was a few reports earlier (I saw Ij mention it on here as well) that the fee reportedly agreed in principle yesterday was closer to £8m, so who knows.

What about the "we are not looking to sell him" bit though? People seem to be ignoring that part for some reason
