There's never been any competition or development since Coleman and Baines ruled the roost. Apart from Digne, it's never been an area of investment
Ironically we let Antonee Robinson go. He's developed into a competent, but not world beating, fullback. Arguably better than some on that list

However, he wasn't going to get a look in here at the time, so it worked out well for him.

It's up to the other fullbacks to show the manager that they deserve a place ahead of 39 year old Young.
In recent weeks Myko has stepped up. It's up to Patterson to show what he can do now, both in training and on the pitch.
Can't blame Dyche for not picking him when we haven't seen consistent decent performances yet. Hope he steps up.

Why isn’t it up to Young to show why he deserves a place? Why has he swanned in as first choice and everyone else is expected to displace him? He should’ve played himself out of the team anyway because he’s been absolutely shocking since he came in. He’s completely finished, as I suspected and suggested he would be very early into the season when we first signed him. It was never a signing that was going to work out, despite people trying to invent reasons as to why it was. He’s got nothing left to offer as a footballer, we should make replacing him a priority in January if nobody at the club is good enough to do so.

I don't think it's arguable. Robinson is better than everyone on that list, at least for now. Still think we let Niels walk too soon. There's a player there. In fairness, however, Robinson wasn't given a go in part because he came through during our period where we had really high quality left backs. Unfortunately when we needed him, it was too late.

We let a USA international go for 4 million doing great at Fulham - an Everton that moment - To fetch Ashley Young in aged 38 years old who played stop gap for Villa last season was just plain stupid Dyche .....

I can see James Gardner our best midfielder at right back with the 34 year old Gana retuning .... next game - this Manager will see us relegated & we can't afford to pay him off .....
