This made me laugh out loud especially due to the accuracy of the skin colour's. It had to be said.

Thought he was actually superb today, defended really well and a clever bit of play to start our first (not having that being an assist….).

Fair play to him.

I am his biggest critic, and his c9nstant inclusion in the squad has turned me sour on dyche when otherwise I would be a firm suppoerter.

however, he was good today, didn't put a foot wrong. I was also remarking to my son how his off the ball movement was excellent...just before it was really poor. Haha, but on the whole, that is a strength of his.

Ashley Young had a decent enough game today and played his part in our win with a good assist.

Not sure rolling a ball 7 years to someone who then scores a 25 yard screamer should count as an assist… but I do understand your point

Amazing how two assists have changed a number of perceptions on him. He's a liability despite two just about acceptable performances.

I’m no fan of him at all and thankfully it looks like Patterson is back soon but he was brilliant yesterday it has to be said. Can’t remember him getting beaten, won a lot of headers funnily enough, cleared one off the line. Clever interception for the first goal. What is he meant to do?

If Dixon has that game everyone is going mental about it.

Actually using his 'vast experience' at the moment. Bringing a bit of calm in possession and finding some nice forward passes all of a sudden..

Exactly.

Young was generally horrific last season and some of his performances were very costly. Yesterday he was absolutely fine and it's a bit ridiculous to slate him when he's not the one picking the team and he actually didn't put a foot wrong all game. Not only that, he kept Eze - one of the best wingers in the league - quiet all game.

It shows at a minimum that he has the odd quality performance in him and that's a good thing.

Patterson should get a run though once he's reached Dyche Fitness.
