Going back to the goals Harrison wonders into the middle and McNeil doesn't track so Garner gets the blame although Keane should not be out jumped, 2nd Keane just shocking and the third although great strike midfield doesn't make any attempt

I can't stress enough how much Michael Keane's presence alone has become a huge problem for us.

The stats simply do not lie - when he's on the pitch, we're conceding two goals minimum every time.
I almost feel bad for him sometimes, because for most of the time he's not actually doing anything wrong, it's just that his presence alone clearly puts the fear into the rest of the team.

He's capable of having a good game even, but even when he does there's always the feeling that we're going to lose. His total lack of aggression is his undoing really.

...his homesickness has become a major issue for us. On that camp I went to with Ross Pottinger (years ago), I finally cut the friendship cord with him...his homesickness was ruining my enjoyment of the trip. I recall going out to do some abseiling while he was sobbing in the cabin...big girl's blouse...him and Keane would make perfect bedmates.

That is undeniable and the manager should see this and it's not like he doesn't have options as we have signed O'Brien who needs to play if Branthwaite is unavailable.

Watching it back again this morning, we don't even need Branthwaite back to solve the problems. If Dyche had started O'Brien instead of Keane at CB, and played Dixon at RB, then neither of Villa's first two goals would have existed.
Agree but it's also alarming how easy it was for the Villa to pass straight through the lines to players camping around our CBs. They should have scored more.
And it's been that way since the start. It's been way to easy.
Last season Tarks Branthwaite Garner and Gana had the lines and available passing angles much tighter.
I've been arguing since the start the midfield should be Garner Gana as CMs and Tim playing the Doucs role. It's a big step up in attacking skill and I'd argue Tim would also be better defensively than Doucs from that position, better than Ndiaye and MCNeil as well..
Garner may not be all that but he reads the game well from the middle and wins a lot of ball.
Ndiaye should play on McNeils wing and McNeil, Lindstrom, Harrison etc should fight it out for the right position.
