That's that. Aston Villa 3 Everton 0

Sad.webp

The new rule means permanent substitutions can be made if a player suffers a head injury, even if all replacements have already been used.

The first gives a team one additional change in the event of concussion, but the opponent does not get to make a change of their own to compensate.

The second, which the Football Association plans to adopt, allows for two concussion substitutes to be made by one team.

To avoid potential abuse of the rule, opposition teams will also be able to make a change at the same time.
They had 1 concussion but made 5 subs

You're not understanding what I'm saying.

When Everton do not possess the ball. It's like playing with 10 men.
No I fully understand what you are saying.

If you win the ball back and then have no option to pass to you lose the ball and the process starts again...

It would be like using a Ferrari to plough a field.

A player like Rodriguez adds a defensive touch just by being on the pitch. The attacking team has to account for him at all times.

Doesn't matter anyway, he aint playing.

Just woke up. Seen the score.
Disappointed but unsurprised. I did think Villa would have too much for us at their gaff. Oh well, onwards and sideways...

Many posters on here who talk about the "great football" we have been playing. I mean there's a thread title that states it. I know there are mitigating circumstances, and I know we have had a few results, but have you been happy with the standard of football, other than for like 10 mins a game? (Apart from Brighton where we actually played well)

Couldn't care less about ancelotti. Want people to recognise the hypocrisy of not putting any blame on benitez.
There’s literally nothing he could have done different other than throw our only other half fit striker on, we were playing fine, the game turned on the Gray chance not going in and Cash scoring at the other end, a momentum shift, same as on Monday only going against us this time
