Think our counter attacking style will yield some expected points away this season like Brighton last season.

Can see this as the sort of game we target for 3 points. Villa (like Brighton) will see this as an easy win.

I'm going for a win by at least 2 goals.

Would expect to see us change tack for this one and in an effort not to lose:
Pickford
Garner - Keane - Tarkowski - Branthwaite - Young
Gana
Doucoure - Onana - Iwobi
Maupay
I expect this is the starting line up, too. Our only chance of getting anything out of it is to keep the score at 0-0 or 1-0 before risking one of our fragile forwards off the bench. Think Villa will do us, though.

It's thoroughly depressing seeing every game as a tough game now. Seeing teams that were fighting for the same spots as us, now so much further ahead.

I remember us beating Villa 4-0 at Goodison and their fans clapped them off. We could all see they were going to go down and they finished bottom (relegated along with Newcastle). How since 2016 have we gone so wrong and relegated teams have not only come back up, but built on it and now fight for Europe etc.

It's hard being a blue.

I don't think this trip to Villa Park is going to be as enjoyable as my last visit to see Springsteen the other week, at least a 2 goal defeat imo.

was thinking the same

relegated teams have the chance to reset.
play a more expansive blueprint type of footy.
get rid of overpaid epl players.
introduce youth talent.
even a new owner of the club.

we’re just delaying the inevitable

Defeat as expected.....

I think we will have some good chances to go in front, not take them then lose by a couple of goals. A good start thrown away by not signing a striker, absolutely negligent and we will be in the bottom 3.

Seeing how Wolves played away at Man Utd I`d be surprised if we can beat them at home.
