witsel is desperate to leave. 30 mil overpriced. schneiderlin better value for money if his form for southampton can be recreated
 
Is he worth this? Can't say I know a lot about him, but ive heard of the name. Can't help feeling uncomfortable about spending and paying big wages on an obvious russian-money mercenary who wants to play in England or Italy,even though we can seemingly afford it. Watched him play a few times and though competent he doesn't seem to offer much special to my eyes. Please en lighten me someone.
 
The name Witsel in pronunciation sounds like "viccel" which means "you are joking" in Hungarian, so I can calm you guys down that this piece of gossip is an obvious hoax.

Can't see how we would want both Schneiderlin and Witsel and until a few hours ago the links with Schn. seemed much stronger and he would carry far less risk as he is a proven Prem player.

The prem has pretty much gone full NBA so I don't know who's worth what anymore. Watford is turning down 38M for Ingahalo and 25M for Deeney and hell that might even be the right move for all I know. CP is buying Benetke for close to 30M even though Liverpool is eager to unload him and he hasn't done squat there.

If Osman was 25 he'd probably be worth close to 20M today.

You also have to spend extra to convince good player to come for side that finished mid table the last 2 years as well.
 
£30m? Wow...

Decent player, not worth that obviously, but it's a statement signing, and in that respect it's a very good one.

I have no problem believing it. Just wanted reassurance. I'd be staggered if we overpaid so badly for him.
