Thing is right now we aren't a bigger club than psg. Always seem to say it but some random footballer doesn't care about a mid table team who won the league 30 years ago, they care about the teams winning the leagues now.

And we are on the cusp of nothing mate. Palace seem to be spending money as free as we are meant to as are West ham. Point is , until we actually do something on the pitch then we are a mid table club who are just talking a big game.

Plus you seem to be having a different point to the one you replied to. I was saying Kante wouldn't look twice at us, not witsel!
 

Witsel was excellent in the group game when he scored and played further forward. But reading that article guess he likes napoli so not sure he will come

I think it's mainly down to the price & age of Witsel. As fans we're not used to Everton paying 30m for a 27 year old so I think as fans we're a bit sceptical.

Another reason is the other options available. If we're going to spend big money on one centre mid, lets get someone who is a real statement and everyone is happy with

Our fans really need to get to grips with the fact that £30 million is the new £15-20 million this window. It's very likely West Ham, Palace and Leicester amongst other's will have record transfer fee's of around the £25-35 million mark this summer.

It's not my money I couldn't care how much we spend so long as we get the players signed up and don't end up in another Payet scenario thinking what could have been if we weren't skint.
