To be totally honest I'm not that well versed in how good or not he is. I don't follow European football at all other than when Everton are in the EL or in future the CL.

I'd like him in for the statement it makes but there are other statement players out there we are in the mix for.

I think, and with total respect, that some Evertonians have forgotten that the reason we are seeing so many links, so many made up stories and ultimately so many things not happening is that we have moved into a new era where some people are able to make a little bit of extra money here and there by driving traffic to their site. Or a lot of money if they are a name (newspaper for example). The way to do this is to have 'a scoop' or to make a controversial point. The DM does this all the time, a fairly outrageous headline, and one that makes the viewer on Twitter and such be outraged and so click on the link, go to the site (cash: IN for DM) and then go write some furious comment. The exercise is complete, they have their money. Then, other sites or accounts will promote the story for their own benefit, but with the DM link so the money being generated carries on for the DM. Then rehash, new story and it never ends. The fans should be wise to this. It's like a huge cauldron of nonsense being churned around, yet the nonsense sometimes is so agonsingly poised that perhaps a tiny percent of you believes it. It's quite easy to make money this way. There is much more BS being published than one would think.

Terreur, stated a good week back that Witsel was close to signing for Everton, but also put a rider on, that he has been close to other clubs before and nothing is ever straight forward where his transfers are concerned.
Esk has posted in good faith, and I believe on solid information but in these days of multiple agents, ownership etc. nothing is simple and things change very quickly, still a bit to go in this one, maybe as suggested we may walk away and concentrate elsewhere.
