Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

I love how some people on here know what Witsel is thinking. I don't blame any top class player taking his time before committing to Everton, we have finished in the bottom half of the league for two years running, we haven't won anything for years. Koeman has to sell the idea that we are moving forward. That is a hard sell given the amount of money being spent by other Premiership clubs.
Players are going to be hard to convince to come to Goodison given our recent history, as I have said, I want players coming to Everton knowing that this is where they want to be, I want them under no illusions as to what is required. We don't need players coming in and then deciding they don't want to be here and spitting their dummies of the pram.

Now, the more time that passes without signings the more the above theory will be tested.
He's just spent the last month or so with Rom belittling us in the press and trying to force a move. It's not going to sell the club to you. Granted Rom's opinion may have changed since then but still it won't have helped.

Chelsea to treble wages of Leicester's N'Golo Kante to ward off PSG interest
As always, Transfer Talk has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest gossip. See the latest deals here.

TOP STORY: Chelsea to treble Kante's wages

Chelsea will offer a five-year deal with wages in excess of £100,000 per week in a bid to fend off Paris Saint-Germain's interest in Leicester City's star midfielder N'Golo Kante, according to the Mirror.

Antonio Conte is dreaming of partnering the French international alongsideRadja Nainggolan in a midfield that would offer tremendous athleticism. Kante has a £20 million release clause, while Roma will command in excess of £30m for the Belgian international.

Should the Blues be able to pull off both deals, the Mirror suggest Cesc Fabregas' future will be thrown into doubt. But Fabregas, who was never comfortable operating in a two-man midfield last season, could flourish with the dynamic duo able to do his legwork.
whooooaaaahhh there tiger, don't go letting facts get in the way of a good moan.

There is always a danger in giving too much weight to what is in the papers. Even when you hear the actual person speaking you have to be careful as to the context of what is being said.

I wouldn't set too much store in what goes on while signings are being negotiated, this is horse trading, everyone is trying to get the best deal for themselves. I hope Everton are trying to get him for as little as possible.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, and if there is anything that may be in doubt it is the stuff the papers print.

This has dragged on long enough, surely he must know by now.
