Bit harsh to pin a relegation on one player. I was more making the point that we've waited long enough for witsel to tit around as I don't especially rate him either.

Reality is, we don't know why the deals taking so long. At 27 he would certainly be daft not to carefully consider this career move, and convincing him to join a team who has finished bottom half in the last 2 seasons instead of a Champions League team is going to be a tough sell too.

It doesn't really say anything about Witsels attitude.

So I just found it strange that you'd rather go for a Sissoko who's obvious bad attitude has just been a big factor in his team getting relegated. I wouldn't touch Sissoko, personally.

Having Mirallas and Lukaku here, plus all the other Belgian players in the north west, can be nothing but a positive for us.

While I doubt he's putting him off you'd imagine, if we are even interested in Witsel at all, that he's had a word.

Just as I'd imagine Dries Mertens has had a word about Napoli.
