If that happened (and I'm not convinced it will) I would be windmilling for at least a week.Zat if we signed Mata, Carvalho, Witsel and Koulibaly, I genuinely still think Mata is the best of the lot.
What a window that would be, mind.

Bear in mind he went to Zenit on the back of "new money", it appeared that the Russian league was going to have a lot of money spent on it. In a way it may be more off-putting then encouraging.
Money will sign witsel. If we do
Alright Yoda
Not disagreeing with you on the players you mentioned. But i think you miss the point on mata, it is not mata specifically but just the fact a better player has left a team like untied with jose and joined this mid table outfit. Makes the project and the ambition much more appealing when you are looking at options.Witsel will know who Mata is of course but i dont think he would rush to sign to follow him here.
However he must know italian football and a mega bid fr koulibaly with Euros winning Carvalho to follow could swing it.
We won't be spending anything on a 'superstar' CB until our current superstar CB leaves Zat.
And yeh I agree that Carvalho would be ideal for Koeman's 4-3-3/4-1-4-1 (which is how he set us up against Barnsley) - and Barks absolutely thrived in the role on the left of that 3.
However, that's because he had the space and time on the ball and he doesn't get that in the PL. As good as he is we know that sides do double up on him and the best way to solve that IMO is getting a playmaker in of the quality of Mata or even Sigurdsson that creates more room.
In my view a player like that is worth the £25/30mil as it'll also help us get the best out of Barks.
While I'm at it, also expect Kev to have a good season this year if he can stay fit through pre-season and the early part of the campaign, while Del will certainly be fitter (the pre-match warm-ups alone were intense so training must be double-so, especially atm). Lennon I reckon will also feature quite a bit.
Personally id say GK /DM / CB in that order are most important as we need a quality strong spine first before looking at attacking players.

Don't say that mate they'll call you a Kopite!Italian TV saying this morning that he's going to Juve.
Don't say that mate they'll call you a Kopite!
oh yeh totally agree, but for all the stick he gets he's been one of Utd's most effective players going forward in the last three years!
God no. Fellaini is a terrible player.Funnily enough, I've been thinking Fellaini back at the right price might be worth considering...he would certainly fit in, and I think supporters would on the whole welcome him back.
Best league in the world on more money than he'd get in Italy, two buddies here, top manger, a plan to get this club into the Champs League with serious financial backing.Bear in mind he went to Zenit on the back of "new money", it appeared that the Russian league was going to have a lot of money spent on it. Why do some of you always look backwards? Talk of Moyes coming back before we hired Koeman and now Elbows?
Let's evolve and move forwards as a club, not backwards!
