Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

really hope so, we dont need the likes of him here

Agreed.
As his agent said he could stay at zenit, which wouldn't surprise me and he'll go
To the next club that offers him the biggest signing on fee.

Swerve. It seems he Doesn't want to come here and I've said many times I only want players who want to be here. Not worth it if they don't (see the lukaku farce)

It'll be sorted by next week in my opinion, he's waited for inter and Napoli who have both offered less terms and no doubt his agent is waiting to see what's happening regarding Juventus first.

What I would say though is if he hasn't decided come end of next week move on. Regardless I think we need 2x CM players so providing we got one (Carvalho?) In soon we can afford to gamble on time with Witsel.

West Ham seem to be having the same problem with Bacca any non CL will unless they offer 200k a week deals to these players.

I don't mind if this is one of those transfers that drags on to the final day as long as all our other business is wrapped up without this affecting it.

I still reckon we'll get him in the end but it'll drag on right to the last day. Basically, the algorith for this guy us this:

CL - club > Everton > Zenit

He'll let us wait right to the end in the hope that a Man Utd or a PSG suddenly come in but in the end he'll come to us rather than stay at Zenit for the simple reason that we'll triple his wages.

Not worth waiting till the last day for this guy, and going on Esk's comments the deal was on thin ice last Friday due to our patience running out. We should tell them to either sign or sod off, I'm certain there are others we could buy instead. Schneiderlin/Strootman to name but two.

Actually think if he doesnt sign soon we will just break off and sign a similar type player (would add Kovicic to that list as well mate of possible players as he seems out the door at Madrid)

Well the Esk has obviously been very close to this story from the beginning so should know.

I have a sneaky feeling he'll come here though...

Thd other targets, however, I reckon we're nowhere close to any of them.

Pretty sure he went to Zenit for the money in the first place. No doubt he's already on 70/80k a week, which is probably double his Benfica wage. We won't be throwing 150k a week at him, so he'd be joining us for probably a 30% pay rise, not a 300% one.
