what hype?????

The media and to an extent the fans hyped it up, yes. But from the club itself, there has been nothing!

ok mate (Nothing will be the same tagline blatantly tagging onto the hype bandwagon):

and from the Mosh himself: see the bit where he says he's committing extra funds to transfers:

The nothing will be the same is a play on the old Alan Ball quote, and moshiri has put money in for transfers? Point being?

Reading Moshiri's OS statement. Read Ryanetsevs comments. Read everything esk has got from his sources.

Stop playing everything down. Some serious revisionism in this thread. But sure clap clap clap everything will be alright. Don't speak of your concerns or you're a kopite.

Same old same old.

Jesus lad. Its a beautiful sunny day go and sit off in a beer garden with your mates, have a drink and chill out.

There is no inbetween with some Everton fans, either it's all crap and we are doomed or everything is boss and we are going to win the lot, no patience to rebuild what Martinez has left us

Why is it Martinez's fault Kev? IMO the only thing Martinez got wrong was, how he had us playing tactically with the best squad of players we had had for a long time, hardly a huge rebuilding job for Koeman and Co.

Every week for the past 4 has been "a busy week". I don't need to link you lots of stuff. Of course there's been hype. Just read Moshiri's initial statement.

Revisionism in full swing here from the clap clap clappers

Moshiri's initial statement of investment and improvement.

I've named several items which have been put in place already"

- Overhaul of the coaching team and going out and getting a manager from a rival side who have actually been far better than us in the last few seasons

- Installing a DoF (taking the head scout of the champions in the process) - which we have never had, to set a system in place for sustainable success

- Making significant progress on the stadium front

There is money for transfers. Nobody said they would be done quickly but I can guarantee you it isn't for a lack of trying.

No revisionism at all, just not everybody hypes up expectations so much that they have to have a hissy fit when those dreamt up expectations aren't met.

If we're in the same boat by the end of the window nobody will be happy. I'm pretty confident we won't be though...

We've haven't improved the squad at all. So we are actually floundering further from the success we've been promised.

Diabolical window so far. If he has money and it's no object then overpay and get it done.
We have a squad there that many said was the best squad we have had in years, add in the likes of Tom Davies...actually you know what sod it, no point arguing is there? There really is no resoning with the negative bunch

It has been a massive overhaul coaching wise Lou. There's a hugely imbalanced squad playing wise as well - we have been working on deals and unfortunatley the main ones (e.g. Witsel) haven't come to fruition yet. A lot of that is down to a player who can rightfully want to join a CL side probably not leaping at the chance to sign for a team that has been tosh for two years in a row under Martinez - so yes, there is a big rebuild job...

Again, i'm not saying I'm not frustrated. But I won't be worried unless we fail to make any improvements when the window has shut.

Mate it's really not worth it, people won't have it they demand instant success and won't listen to anyone else

This point only becomes relevant if we've signed hardly any decent players during this window, it's been excruciating waiting though, I'll give you that.
