I'm not that surprised when you think back to the Mexico game. I know the defence overall was a shambles but I think his lack of height was very apparent a couple of times.

Durham has been crying on TalkSport this afternoon about Walcott not being included. Personally, not only was I not suprised that he was omitted, but I don't even think he particularly deserved a place anyway. He's had a bad season.

I agree Baines didn't exactly cover himself in glory against Mexico, but did that really justify him getting the boot? Warnock never played a single minute over the three friendlys he was on the bench for yet he gets the nod?! If he was dropped over his "homesick" comments last week then all I can say is he well and truly shot himself in the foot there.

That said, my respect for Capello has dropped significantly and part of me now really wants them to fail miserably.

Only today on talkSPORT I said I'm sick to death of people slating Heskey as an England player. If he's no good to the team why do England managers keep picking him? I think there are going to be a lot of people with egg on their faces when we take on Spain in the final

Baines is clearly a better left back than Warnock anyway - how does Capello think he'd fair any better?!

I think it's about time we all stopped bitching about our own players not getting picked and got behind the squad. I heard it all morning, people moaning about one of their players who is better than the other. I had a good mind to ring up and say 'My dad's bigger than your dad' ffs!

Personally, given what happened at the start of last season, the fewer of our players going to the WC the better!

If you noticed, our last 3 players to play for England have been scapegoated by the media: Lescott, Jagielka and Baines. Baines was far from the worst player on the pitch v Mexico. Warnock went despite not playing? Carragher? Heskey?

The team has been picked by the media clearly. Do yourself a favour and support who they're playing, they're not representing you and they followed by a bunch of massive ********s. Pretty much every other nationality thinks that.
