I was convinced he'd stay since he told the press that he wants Everton to keep their best players this summer . Hardly the words of someone who was planning to leave ?

I always felt Baines would ideally want to stay. I also felt he would need to see progression to stop his head being swayed. Given Naismith has already arrived, pienaar looks as good as done and I'm sure moyes will have sold him on the "were moving forward" story plus I aspect another 1 or 2 to come in (prob loans or free's) I'm sure Baines will be happy to give it at least another year!

Main man at a possibly very good efc side vs bit part player at utd???

I seriously hope Fox, LCAB etc aren't put off popping back on from time to time to keep us posted with little nuggets. For me, this place would be poorer without it - I know I'd deffo be left wanting (but I've registered on Twatter and following LCAB in case this happens (is the Foxy one on there?)).

Please, lids, stop this pathetic bitching. You're acting like Kopites. Anyone who thinks Fox, LCAB or Sheeds are frauds, then of course you're entitled to your opinion but surely you can see that the vast, vast majority of us on here are willing to take their word as most of the time they are bang on.

I don't care how they get their info - be they buy it, steal it or sell their arse down the Las Vegas arcade for it. If it gives me a glimmer of an insight into the latest shenanigans involving the Blues then I'll gratefully lap it up.

Back on topic please lads, will anyone who knows, went to school wiith or possibly is Baines and wants to argue about his gym gear, his missus etc take it to PM.

Hopefully he stays, i would have taken not loosing anyone and getting Pienaar at the end of the season. Naismith is a bonus. Bar a loan, signing of a kid and prob Landon in Jan - im not expecting much more from this window.

Peter Johnston selling Ferguson was the begin of the end for him as a chairman, i was a younger at the time, but i think thats how it was.

the info that we got in June was he was going, things change... and hes said hes staying..... the chairman or the manager can still change that and force a move. im just glad to hear hes staying.
