AMEN! Let alone the threat to our security and the fact that its against our social conduct.

1. Identity of a person cannot be seen on CCTV so anyone wanting to rob and get away with it need just wear a burkah, man or women, Muslim or non Muslim. It's been done before. And I have actually witnessed shop theft at JJB from a muslim women who had put something up her robe. Store manager came over and asked her to reveal what she had stolen (T shirt) and she started calling him racist racist (of course all barely English)

2. In our society facial expressions are a part and parcel of our society. We play off eachothers facil expressions and thats a HUGE part of how we communicate.

3. No where in the Quaran does it say that a women has to wear a Burkah, it is PURELY so that no other man looks at there wifes face. A MASSIVE oppression of women, a society where the male is seen as far superior is back to the dark ages and NOT part of our society.

Interesting that you mention the dark ages and then go on to say you want a piece of clothing banned. Civil liberties must be protected, just because you do not like it doesn't mean they should be banned. I do believe some provision should be made in the law for the protection of private and public enteprises and offices to refuse admission to anyone whose face cannot be seen (Whether by a hoodie, burka or headscarf) however, as I feel that this could is a legitimate security concern for many shopkeepers. But I'd say they are much more concerned by a teenager in the latest nike hoodie than a quiet muslim woman in a burka.

What a woman wears to show devotion is frankly, none of your bloody business. If she is being forced to wear those clothes by her husband against her will then that is a matter for the criminal authorities.

I personally know 2 converts to Islam. One wears a niqab and the other wears a hijab. Should their rights be infringed upon just to satisfy your cultural insecurities?

well if i was wearing one now you'd still see my expression as I roll my eyes.

oh yeah, it's just been on the news that the catholic church has said that the attempted ordination of female priests is a 'grave offence' which in their rulebook is on a par with sexual abuse, so it seems that they feel it ok to look down upon females as well and not class them as equal.

I'm sorry, but the headscarf is more than sufficient. Thats fine. The Burkah is UNESSESSARY and is PURELY used so that no other man can set eyes upon another mans wife. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON.

Not to mention the other problems it causes as I have already stated. Some people will just not say a bad word against Islam. This country has gone far to politcally correct, and people are blinded by fear of being called a racist. I'm just telling it how it f*cking well is.

Islam is not a bad religion EFCNIK, it is given a bad name by a select few individuals. By your own reasoning you should be infringing on the rights of the Irish, as there has been a few bad eggs over there too. But you don't because they are not the victims of a ridiculous fear-mongering media assault that has created this mass of hysteria!

Why not just go back to worrying about what you do with your life and live it, and leave other people to live theirs.

Because I have to see it everyday. As I say, if we walked through there shopping malls with bare chests we wouldnt just be frowned upon we'd probably be put to death. So why should they where something which doesnt fit in with our society. Dont get me wrong, I'm not a kick them all out nazi. We wouldnt function without immigration. But they should conform to our western society! Thats all I ask. The burkah is not and will never be acceptable. Its an instrument of oppression, which is what goes on in their native countries but NOT IN OURS.

Why are people DELIBERATLY missing parts out about what I'm saying? Talking about 'ooo if you want rid of the burkah then why not the kippah' etc etc etc... I have said that I understand that head covering his part of their religion, so the head scarf is absolutly fine!!! The Burkah is UNESSESSARY, it has nothing to do with religion, but the general attitude of a lot of Muslim men which is that women are inferior and that wives are property. THAT DOES NOT FIT IN WITH OUR SOCIETY. OMG some people are so frustrating. If someone came on here and started bad mouthing christianity would you use the bad things about Islam as an example? No, yet you are quite happy to use the bad things about christianty in your argument. Because you fear being called a racist. It is exactly that fear that is slowly turning this world Islamic. We let waaaay too many things go. In Luton there was a preacher on the streets of Bury Park, hundreds upon hundreds of listeners. The police blocked the road off and just allowed it to happen. I dont even care about the freedom of speech nonsense you will come out with. STOP THAT S*IT FROM HAPPENING.

I dont agree with the Burkah, and I think you will find most people feel the same. Again purely for the reasons I have already stated 'CCTV,COMMUNICATION,SECURITY' etc etc all very valid reasons that of course you will ignore. And so help me if I get called a racist for this by the blind stupidity of the people that cannot understand the validity of what I'm saying then you will all be very very very naughty boys in my eyes.
