Beer, revisited

I had one of these last night in homage to the Amsel Dark Bock (basically a black lager) I would consume in large quantities when in Jordan.

Not the best beer I've ever had by any stretch of the imagination, yet it was pleasant enough and something a little bit different.

But from experience, dark or red lagers always seem to be skull splitters in the morning.

Possibly the colouring used ( not the 8 pints )
As we've mentioned before, Red Erik comes straight to mind when you're talking about destroying you and being a head splitter.

With regards to the Brookyln dark lager, I doubt I'd drink enough to get a hangover as it's not something I'd choose to drink regularly.

I had Red Erik in mind when I posted that.

Possibly the worst hangovers known to man.

Pity you can only get it in cans now though.

Used to love a couple in the Dispensary, just to start the night off lol

When i lived back in Ireland and they start getting English ales in some off licenses these were 3 of go to's

The old speckled hen is now sold in the US which is great.
