Always wary about drinking Theakston' s Old Peculiar from past experiences, but I have to admit that it's never tasted better than tonight at the Caernarfon Castle ; never had a bad pint there.

Old P is either very good or very bad, must be hard to keep or needs to go through the pumps quickly.

It`s a bar, quite new, they`ve regenerated that side of the road.
I haven`t been in, but it looks half decent from the outside

Always suspicious going to a 'bar', probably because they are normally populated by bellends. I'm old enough now to say I'm not drinking there.

Another brain bending, high octane brew from Founders; KBS Chocolate and Coffee Oak Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout. Tastes like pralines melted into whiskey infused black beer. Belter.
I like a few of the brews from Founders, and I've tried the KBS...great stuff, but I can only handle a little bit of it.

It’s back !
Didn’t have the Amber, but had a few of the revived Higsons Pale over the weekend.
It’s very nice, but tastes a bit weird initially, as you get so used to drinking IPA, that you almost feel like there’s something missing to start with.
At 3.6 it’s a great session beer.

I liked their mild.
Me too, but i don`t think the new owners have any plans to produce it.
I know Liverpool Organic, produced it as a one off a few years ago.

Mild sadly underrated nowadays compared to the tsunami of IPA's.
Sadly, I don't think there'd be much of a market for them to want to produce their mild on a regular basis, as it's far from being a 'popular' drink.
As @summerisle has mentioned above, it's unfairly underrated and I doubt it would attract the younger clientèle's attention.
Cains Dark Mild was a belter and strong too.
You got properly drunk on it, as opposed to tiddly, like a regular mild.
