There`s a lot to be said for a decent pint of mild, but it`s becoming harder and harder to get it, even in the North.

Cains Dark Mild was another very nice mild and quite potent too.
Can you get potent mild?
Serious question as I dislike the modern trend of very alcoholic ale, where 5% is low for an IPA. A good mild seems too subtle for this age, as it's not hopped AF and chilled to five degrees.

Cains Dark Mild was the strongest I’ve ever had at 3.2 %, but for some reason it felt stronger.

Mild has all but disappeared from the pubs by me - used to be 5/6 sold it, think there’s one now.

Thete are some 9% milds around, all brewed from an 1832 recipe. such as Buxton's Ring Your Mother 1832 XXXX.

They just taste like light imperial brown ales
