Beer, revisited

Depends what you like I suppose mate but regularly buy from:

Buxton
Siren
Cloudwater
Wander Beyond
Wild Beer
The Kernal
Wylam
Northern Monk
Tiny Rebel

All very good at what they do in my humble opinion.
Thanks i really like wild beer and northern monk, is cloud water worth it? V expensive but have heard good things about it

I think CW are currently doing free delivery on orders over £35.

To me though, if you like the hazier type beers, i'd go for Deya's Steady Rolling Man. 6x 500ml cans for £20.

Kernel are great for all round and I think have about 20% off at the moment for a mixed crate.

Yes mate. They are top tier for for IPA's and more so DIPA's in my opinion.

Do you have any favourites? Might be able to give my recommendations if so.

Really like pogo and nebula, but do like powerfully hopped stuff... So might give cloud water a go, I don't mind paying more if its actually worth it and not paying for a pretty can, been sting on random stuff from beer hawk before when the sperms have actually been better value

I like pogo and nebula but also really like heavily hopped stuff, don't mind paying more jsut been stung by stuff from beer hawk before when you seem to be paying extra for a pretty can and supermarkets are doing better deals

I'd avoid Beerhawk personally. They are owned by InBev so not independent at all, but pretend to be.

Breweries such as Cloudwater, Deya etc are streets ahead of supermarket stuff (I think) whereas Beerhawk effectively is a supermarket.

Yep, I will never order from them again... Some of their prices for bog standard beer is ludicrous, gonna give cloud water a go... Free delivery for £35 and cheaper than a night out!

My experience with real/craft beer is don't buy what you haven't sampled or had a solid recommendation for.. Ratebeer and Untapped are decent guides but its better to find a few real/craft enthusiasts.

I only buy from taste, recommendation or research. So possibly a beerspotter :)

Looking at the two you mention I'd suggest that if you like New England IPA's (NEIPA) have a look here https://www.ratebeer.com/beerstyles/ipa-hazy-neipa/126/ and do some reading to see if any sound interesting.

The big multiple grocers are picking up the growth in the sector and now have some interesting choices too.

I don't know where you are in your journey of discovery but it is a great journey. Mine started with strictly fruity IPA's and am now 70% stouts and porters followed by sours and goses, then NEIPA's and then the rest.

Here if needed and happy hunting ;)
