Groovy Gravy ; Fat Sam's influence is far and wide. lolYes, today is still April 1 in the Western Hemisphere, but this is no joke. Actually happened and I am stunned.
Wanted to get some cerveja from a local nanobrewery, Joy Project. Had some of their beers before, really enjoyed. COVID is horrific here now, so everything is closed, needed to order online, couldn't go for pick up. Absolute pain to eventually be able to pay through a series of apps via my wife's local card ... my Travel card, Paypal and cash no good via Brazilian apps. (They have cracked the hell down on card security here. Biometrics at ATMs, my wife has a 200r max - about $37 - daily on purchases not made in person).
So the guy from the brewery patiently worked with me via WhatsApp. Beer was ordered and delivered via Uber (they use Uber to deliver, but don't use UberEats as the cut is way too big. Shame, else I could buy as much as I wanted...)
The end results with pictures:
"Hey Craig, your order is on it's way. You can track your Uber driver with this link"

"Great. Look forward to it. Also Everton is the name of my favorite Futebol club, so that's a great sign." (attached this pic o mine)

"Go Toffes"
Capping off this sequence of events which is basically my real life coincidental equivalent of Naisy's perfect hat trick in style.

I think @Spadge Vernacular has mentioned it, not had it myself. Was that on BBC4 ?, I’ve got it recorded.Watched a programme last night about a Benedictine monastery who have started brewing ale, anybody tried it ?
Yes mate, it depends upon what you like but for me, it is a really lovely ale. Hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and Christmas pudding-type fruits. If you like imperial stout type flavours I have no doubt you'd love it.Watched a programme last night about a Benedictine monastery who have started brewing ale, anybody tried it ?

One of my all time favourite stouts, lovely stuff and just made for drinking slowly.
