I decided I’d walk from BMD to town today just to see how long it takes, fortunately there was a stonking pint of Trappers Hat going in The Baltic Fleet . Gorgeous.

Sorry, yes mate, that is a nice beer.

I have discovered that I tend to be a fussy so and so when it comes to craft beer/real ale. I suppose it is because there are so many good beers being brewed that even an mid range one can be disappointing. Because of that, I tend to go for brews that are big on flavour.

I might have to rethink my previous opinion of Tiny Rebel, they've been producing some really interesting beer lately. I have enjoyed these.

Love that place, like a tiny island of beer goodness surrounded by run-of-the-mill modernesque (and likely overpriced) apartments.

Not my photo...had some of this yesterday at the actual joint (Widerness Brewing). Bought a couple 4-packs for tomorrow as 4 of us have birthdays all within 10 days so we're mass celebrating. Good stuff but pricey.

Yeah, I've not got anything from them for a while. They're tap room has reopened, will try and get there next month.

Nene Valley Bitter. A fairly local one to me. So far I've had Landlord, Oakham JHB and the bitter. Not too bad.

I've noticed a lot of the pubs have a reduced offering, makes sense I guess.

I know that the breweries have been cautious over production and the surge in sales over the past week have made it even more difficult to stock variety.

I was speaking to the landlord yesterday and even though there's huge demand he's had to stop selling take outs because he'd run out of beer in a day or two.

We were drinking Whtie Rat as that was the only cask they had left, but it was lovely. Always like Landlord on tap too!
