Last nights :

Lucy (4.5%) - Strawberry Fields Brewery / Big Bog ( Speke )

Really nice traditional bitter, with a real fruity twist.

I had their oatmeal stout the other day, very nice.

Also had this, which was delicious.

Yep used to be quite popular at one time , think Guinness have cornered the market tho.
Pity they stopped exporting my favourite Hop House 13 to England.

Looks a very quirky brewery, whats Vault Citys stuff like?

Just got my order and no deep fried mars bar stout, that was the only reason i made the order. Not happy.

Shippen I think this is called, can't be bothered going back to bar yet sorry but its from South Hams brewery.

Nice amberish drop for first on Sunday afternoon.

The also have Beast from Exmoor Brewery which is dark and interesting but think it's 6.6%, probably more suitable after kick off today to numb the senses.

Nice one! I used to live in Bamberg and have been to that brewery. Have a really nice restaurant with Franconian cuisine as well. As you mention, they are very well-known for their Rauchbier.

Been there myself on a holiday. Didn’t realise until I arrived that there was a summer festival on that went on for days. The place was absolutely packed

Nice one! I used to live in Bamberg and have been to that brewery. Have a really nice restaurant with Franconian cuisine as well. As you mention, they are very well-known for their Rauchbier.

Nice, still haven’t been to Bamberg yet but I hope to soon. I read that that beer I pictured above is brewed in the same barrels as the Rauchbier hence the flavour. Just picked it up randomly in my local corner shop
